Principle#8

We welcome agile learning processes that promote flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness

Transformative learning for degrowth embraces uncertainty and complexity in a rapidly changing world. This approach encourages experimentation in developing practices and ways of being that co-evolve with these dynamics. By valuing exploration, play, and experimentation over predictability, we feel more empowered to pursue solutions that may not align with mainstream notions of efficiency and productivity, instead learning from trial and error. Initiatives that incorporate participatory design thinking, for example, can mobilize us to tackle real-world problems collaboratively, testing prototypes and refining ideas through feedback. Such an approach enables us to respond with dynamic solutions and recognize that transformative learning for degrowth is an ongoing process on its own. While adopting an agile approach, we are also aware of different learning style preferences and incorporate adapted approaches to ensure inclusivity and effectiveness for everyone.

Transformative Learning is a murmuration of starlings, moving as one fluid entity, shifting direction with grace and precision in response to the winds and the needs of the flock.
